What is your nursery style?
Most parents know a nursery they love the moment they see it, but not what to call it. Is it modern, classic, boho, a little vintage? And will it still feel right when your baby is a toddler?
Knowing your style is the first step in every room I design. It decides the colours, the wood, the shapes of the furniture and how much pattern the room can take, so every choice after it gets easier.

The quiz finds which of these is yours. Each has a full style guide, with real rooms from our studio.
Style or theme?
A theme is a subject: woodland animals, the ocean, hot-air balloons. A style is the look underneath it. Themes come and go; a room built on a style still works when your baby is a toddler, and a theme can live in the art on top.
What to think about
- The rest of your home, so the nursery feels part of it
- The light in the room, morning and evening
- How long you want the room to last
- Whether you are planning for a boy, a girl or a surprise
- The pieces you already own or have been given
If you love two styles, that is normal; many of the rooms I design mix two. The quiz looks at every room you pick, not a single answer.
